Established in 2002, HamishWilson is an independent firm of actuaries and pension consultants advising medium-sized businesses (or their trustees) on their pension arrangements.
For us every client is unique with its own objectives and needs, which is why we believe in providing more than just off-the-shelf solutions. We start by establishing our clients’ issues and underlying objectives, whether sponsors or trustees. We then offer thoughts, ideas, concepts, approaches and, most of all, we challenge thinking. So each client benefits from a personalised, bespoke and committed service, helping them gain a competitive edge.
In our experience this top-down approach has the greatest chance of delivering pragmatic and robust solutions driven by clients’ needs. It also avoids irrelevant or over-engineered solutions, saving significant time and money. We are a specialised pensions advisor, sticking to what we do best. We do not try to be all things to all people. Free from the pressure to sell other services (or protect those previously cross-sold), you can be assured our advice is independent and free from bias.
