What We Do | Meet the Key People | Craig Simmons – Director of Consulting Delivery
As Director of Consulting Delivery, Craig is responsible for developing the firm’s consulting capability so we provide a first rate service to clients in an efficient way.
Craig is also on the firm’s Management Team, contributing to its strategic direction and responsible for implementing new initiatives.
Craig’s experience as a pensions consultant with one of the large consulting actuarial firms stretches back to when pension schemes had surpluses and sponsors’ covenants were almost irrelevant. Craig advised some of the country’s largest pension schemes and worked on a wide range of projects including complex negotiations with industry-wide regulators. He was also instrumental in developing systems and processes to tackle complex actuarial issues for many leading insurance companies.
This experience, coupled with a passion for IT, was used to good effect as a consultant in helping a major insurance company with several projects where the outcome was much improved efficiency.
A graduate of City University, Craig qualified as an actuary in 1990.
Craig’s second job is taxi driver for his three children and he enjoys running and cycling, sometimes to keep up with them, and at other times to get away from them.
