What We Do | Meet the Key People | Hamish Wilson – Managing Director
Hamish is Managing Director and enjoys all aspects of developing the business as well as advising many of the firm’s clients, some as scheme actuary.
Recent client engagements have included helping sponsors and trustees navigate funding negotiations, some in very extreme circumstances, assisting clients in rationalising their pension arrangements and de-risking including introducing and developing liability led investment strategies involving swap overlays.
Hamish believes it is essential matters are arranged so as to empower, rather than constrain clients.
Hamish is a regular speaker at conferences including those of the NAPF, The Pensions Show, the PMI, The International Congress of Actuaries and others.
Outside work, Hamish is married and has two children and enjoys nothing more than spending time with his family. He is very conscious of the need to exercise and enjoys the Triathlon sports – all in the vain hope he can prove actuaries are not infallible about life expectancy.
