John is a partner at HamishWilson & Co, having joined in 2003. John is responsible for client management, specialising in funding, accounting and corporate transactions.
Recent work has included complex issues surrounding multi-employer schemes (funding and debt), winding up implications for hybrid schemes, pension liability risk assessments on takeovers and second opinion work on funding.
John worked at Bacon & Woodrow, which he joined after graduating with a Mathematics degree from Wadham College, Oxford. He qualified as an actuary in 1989 and moved to Gissings in 2001 giving him a broad market experience.
John enjoys providing solutions on all aspects of pension arrangements which he does with a pragmatic and proportionate approach.
Married with two boys, John still finds time to indulge in real ale and support AFC Wimbledon.
