John has a degree in Mathematics and joined Bacon & Woodrow straight from Oxford qualifying as an actuary in 1989.
As a senior actuary, John advised many household names on all aspects of their pension arrangements.
John played chess at National Championship level. This probably explains why he takes a particular interest in accounting and transaction work where deep analytical and forward thinking skills are required.
John joined a smaller practice in 2001 which operated multi-disciplinary teams. While he gained valuable experience in a more commercial environment he prefers the culture of the niche specialist firm of which he is a partner.
Married with two boys (born 1993 and 1995), John still finds time to indulge in real ale and support AFC Wimbledon.
