This is a news round-up of topical issues in April 2010.
Issues for trustees include the risk of a hefty fine if data is not adequately protected and the opportunity (finally!) to commute trivial pensions.
Concerns for employers include proposed changes to IAS19, which could lead to significant adverse effects on balance sheets. Some employers may benefit from a minor easing of the employer debt regulations, although the circumstances for this are rather limited.
